Paddles and Pedals of the Grand (Overnight)

Check into a local B& B and then register at 10:30am at the Grand Experiences Canoe/Bike shop. You will be shuttled upstream for a 3 or 5 hour canoe trip of your choice.  The beauty and isolation of this paddling journey is captivating, as the river leads you through bluffs of towering maples and oaks with clusters of hemlocks and pines. Lunch is a large wrap of your choice with dessert, fruit and juice along a restful spot on the Grand river. Then continue down the river bass fishing or paddling to the Cobblestone Capital of Canada. Paris Ontario. Dinner is served in the elegant dining room of the 19th century Arlington Hotel. After dinner take an evening stroll through the "Prettiest Town in Ontario".

After a night in a restful B&B with a hearty breakfast . get ready for a day of cycling.

On day two bike on the Trans Canada Rail Trail through the Grand River Valley to the Bell Homestead National Historic Site. Our own "Bell Family" will show you their 1870 home where Alexander Graham Bell first conceived the idea for his telephone in 1874. Enjoy lunch at the Homestead Cafe before heading back to Paris for the end of this tour.

Cost: $249 per person plus tax. Includes canoe guide,  shuttle rides, canoe & bike equipment, maps, all 4 meals, overnight B&B and Bell Homestead tour
