The Grand Quest is our premier team-building paddle event. An outdoor, team based, fun competition which takes your teams on a voyage of discovery. It combines True Colors interpersonal skills training with an adventureous quest down the Grand River aimed at building understanding, cooperation & team work.
The Grand Quest promotes teamwork & provides an unforgettable experience. Experiential learning at its best. First, each member of your group gets a True Colors™ Personality Assessment to facilitate self-discovery: participants learn their what their personal strengths are and where their weaknesses lie. The program also endeavours to familiarize everyone with all of the personality types, helping colleagues to better understand one another and thereby improving the intrapersonal and interpersonal skills of the group. This provides the basis for great team interaction.
Next, your group is assembled into teams and sent on the Quest: a fun competition composed of interactive problem solving, orienteering in a secluded forest and exciting paddling in their choice of craft; canoes, kayaks, 10 person voyageur canoes, and/or slow & easy rafts.
Grand Experiences provides all equipment along with a team of highly skilled, experienced guides to coach your team, keep everyone safe, and provide a little extra entertainment along the way. The event takes place along the Grand River, launching from our docks in Paris, paddling downstream through rare Carolinian Forest to our site in Brant Conservation Area, where we will host a steak & chicken BBQ for you.
The Grand Quest package with steak/chicken BBQ is $99 per person. The BBQ can be scaled back to simply sausage & hamburgers or hot dogs & hamburgers if you prefer.
